"The Empowered Pictures Workshop was fun, super informative, and empowering. I walked out feeling more confident and beautiful. I think anyone can get something out of this workshops or from a private session. We all take pictures or get our pictures taken and we all want to feel good about ourselves. I am still learning, but one huge thing I took away from the workshop is how various poses can help the way I look in pictures, even more importantly, I have a great smile and I don't need to hide my teeth anymore!"

"We live in the age of the selfie, of social media, of pictures going online sixteen seconds after they're taken. We also live in the age of posting a thousand wedding pictures, and of our head shots deciding whether or not we get called in.
Enter Amanda Batcher. She knows her way around the camera—and she's the first person to reveal that the camera lies. We look at terrible photos of ourselves and assume that's what we look like, but apparently that's wrong! This goes beyond "sorority skinny arm" to real talk about how to use your assets to your advantage and help the camera see past whatever flaws you think you have. The camera is a huge diva and it is terrible at reflecting reality. As a seasoned Ford plus-size model, Amanda shared not just tips and tricks but realities about what the camera sees—lighting, angles, juxtaposition—that make an insane difference in how your photo turns out, from the bar selfie to the all-important "stare at each other and make sure we see you're in love" shot at a wedding.
If you're getting married, getting head shots, taking selfies in the bathroom—regardless of your current state, this workshop can help you, woman or man, appear more honest through the lens and let the best part of you shine through. I learned things that I will use every day, and I am so thankful to have had such an empowering session help me realize that it's not me—it's the camera. And I've got tools to slap it into submission.
You're gorgeous, darling. Let Amanda teach you how to make the camera see it."

"To me, the experience was a form of wonderful group therapy, as it allowed me to learn from an expert and commiserate with other women about what plagues us in our photos... and beyond."

"I had the pleasure of attending a workshop of Empowered Pictures. Not only was the workshop insightful and helpful, it was so fun! Amanda was extremely knowledgeable about the business of modeling/photography and was able to share tools and tips to help us women feel empowered and beautiful in front of the camera. I highly recommend her workshops and can't wait to see where her business takes her."
